Mr Didier Lagae is the Founder and CEO of one of the Top 5 independent PR agencies in Spain, with more than 40 consultants in its offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Girona, Paris, Miami and Casablanca. Since its birth in 2002, Marco de Comunicación has grown exponentially, reaching the Spanish Top 5 in less than 10 years and generating revenues of more than 5 million euros. This growth has also been replicated internationally thanks to, among other factors, the implementation in 2012 of its unique hub-and-spoke model. This internationalisation strategy has enabled MdC to provide PR support across Europe from its hubs in Madrid, Barcelona, Girona and Paris; in the U.S. and Latin America from its Miami hub; and across North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East from its hub in Casablanca. These hubs are buttressed by affiliate spoke offices for local ad-hoc and in-situ support in more than 40 countries. MdC is specialised in designing and implementing internationally-recognised 360° campaigns for corporate, consumer, healthcare and technology clients. MdC has even attained Guinness World Records for five clients. These achievements have made MdC the most award-winning agency for the seventh consecutive year and the best valued for the sixth consecutive year.
Mr Lagae is a communication expert with broad international experience in corporate reputation and brand image management, both in-house and within agencies. Before founding MdC, he was Deputy General Manager of Edelman Spain, heading the Technology, Consumer and Healthcare divisions; Director of the Technology Division and Deputy Director of the Consumer Division at Weber Shandwick Barcelona; Global Head of Communication at The Body Shop International; and External Corporate Communications Manager EMEA at Levi Strauss & Co. Before joining Levi Strauss and Co., Mr Lagae was Managing Director of the international PR agency network E.C.C.O. and Managing Partner of the PR consultancy Pyramid PR and Communication.
