The World Public Relations Forum, organized by the Spanish Association of Communication Directors (Dircom) and the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communications Management, has already confirmed attendance of up to 500 professionals from over 60 countries in the 5 continents.
Among them are a great number of female directors in the field of communications and public relations on a global scale. One of them is Katja Tschoepe, Director of her own corporate communications agency in Austria, who’s coming to the Forum looking forward to discover new perspectives and approaches as well as meeting inspiring people from other countries and cultures: “I am especially interested in transformation and leadership, in particular the sessions on measurement and counselling leaders”.
“Internal communication, social media an reputation” are the topics that Lucie Zumrová, responsible of communication at Abfall Service AG in the Czech Republic, wants to focus on at the Forum. In exchange, she will contribute her years of experience in the communications field.
Vilma Luoma-aho, Professor of Organizational Communication and PR at the University of Jyvaskyla in Finland, will also attend the World Public Relations Forum. In her academic opinion, the challenge that communicators will face will be the evolution “from reputation management to expectation management”. She is interested in the topics of transparency, engagement and authenticity and looks forward to meeting great professionals like Anne Gregory and Juan Carlos Molleda.
From Spain Carolina Muñoz-Torrero Villegas, director of Communication and Marketing at CBRE, says “it would be a mistake to miss this event, celebrated for the first time in Madrid”. In her opinion, the challenge communicators now face has to do with “looking after what you transmit and how you transmit it, how you connect with your audiences, that they trust you, that you’re present in their day to day life and that you’re also transparent in your communication”.
Alison George, Vice-president of Argyle Communications agency in Canada, will be in Madrid due to the importance of the event, the high-level content to be delivered by the presenters and the knowledge of the “global trends”. The topics that interest her the most are corporate reputation management and the partnership between agencies and clients.
