José Antonio Llorente is Founding Partner and Chairman of LLORENTE & CUENCA, leading communications consultancy in the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking world. With seventeen partners and a team of 330 professionals, the firm has its own offices in Spain–Madrid and Barcelona–, Argentina, Brazil –Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo–, Colombia, Chile, China, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Portugal and the Dominican Republic. It also offers its services through affiliate companies in USA (Miami), Bolivia, Uruguay and Venezuela.
Specialising in corporate and financial communication, José Antonio Llorente has more than 25 years’ experience, during which he has provided counselling in numerous corporate operations –mergers, acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and flotations–.
José Antonio worked for ten years in the multinational firm Burson-Marsteller, where he was Managing Director. He had previously worked for five years in the Communications Department of the CEOE (Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations) and as a journalist in the news agency EFE.
He is currently on the Board of Trustees of the EuroAmerica Foundation and the Advisory Board of CEOE Internacional (Confederation of Employers and Industries of Spain). He is also on the Management Board of AEMEC (Spanish Association of Minority Shareholders of Publicly Traded Companies), the SME Advisory Board of CEPYME (Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises), the Management Board of the Agencies of Spain Association and the Advisory Board for the Executive MBA in Professional Services Organisations Management.
His professional career has been recognised by The Holmes Report with the SABRE Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement. This is the first time that the European award has been presented to a Spanish professional.
José Antonio has a BA Degree in Information Science, specialising in Journalism, from the Complutense University of Madrid.
