Robert L. Heath(PhD, University of Illinois, Professor Emeritus, University of Houston, Houston, Texas, USA) has recently edited two editions of the Handbook of Public Relations (Sage), several other edited books, and two editions of the Encyclopedia of Public Relations (Sage). He has served as an area editor for the International Encyclopedia of Communication. He recently published a Master Work on Public Relations for Routledge and is developing a Master Work on Strategic Communication for Sage (in process with Anne Gregory). These master works are a compendia of previously published articles and chapters framed with introductions that he drafts. He has contributed original chapters for numerous edited books and handbooks. He has written entries for various encyclopedias, including those mentioned above. Other encyclopedia contributions appear in Encyclopedia of Science and Technology Communication (Sage), Wiley Encyclopedia of Operations Research and Management Science (John Wiley & Sons), and 21st Century Communication: A Reference Handbook (Sage).
Heath has three decades experience in corporate communication and positioning research.
He has conducted research on risks related to various hazards, including those associated with chemical manufacturing and community right to know—key themes in community relations.
