Dr. Rotimi Oladele, the President And Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, is a seasoned scholar, consultant and has continued to contribute to the development of society through the various positions he has found himself. Since 1997, he has been a senior lecturer (Part-Time) in the MBA programme of the Lagos State University.
He was Managing Director/CEO, African Newspapers of Nigeria Plc publishers of the Nigerian Tribune newspaper, Ibadan (1999-2002); Controller, Marketing & Corporate Affairs for Academy Press Plc (1992-1998); Managing Director/CEO Bayorns Press Incorporation, Cameroon (1998-1999); Executive Secretary, Institute of Entrepreneurs (voluntary service) (2003 to date); Assistant General Manager, Marketing & Business Development, UI Ventures Limited, University of Ibadan, Ibadan (1990-1992); Senior Sales Representative, Longman Publishers Nigeria Plc (1985-1990); and current Managing Director/CEO, MEGAVONS (West Africa) Limited since 2003.
He holds a PhD in Business Administration with specialty in Entrepreneurship from Babcock University, Nigeria; M.Sc in Corporate Governance from Leeds Metropolitan University, UK; M.Sc. Marketing (specializing in Public Relations) from University of Nigeria (2000); MBA in Marketing & Management from Lagos State University, Nigeria (1996); and Diploma in Marketing of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK (1990) apart from National Certificate of Education.
A well experienced practitioner of global standard has many publications to his credit. He is a Member of the The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK; Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK; Nigerian Institute of Management; Nigerian Institute for Training and Development; Fellow of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations; National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria; Institute of Directors (IoD); and Institute of Entrepreneurs.
Dr. Oladele’s board and advisory services include being the PR Adviser to Sickle Cell Foundation in Nigeria since 2010 to date and the SecondVice President, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria.
