The importance of transparency, progress in digital media, access to data and contents are some of the aspects that Stephen Waddington, president of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and director of Digital Communication and Social Media at Ketchum Europe, highlighted in the speech he made at the presentation of the Communication Yearbook in Barcelona, also a run-up to his presentation in the next World Public Relations Forum in Madrid.
In his introductory words Jordi Garcia Tabernero, president of Dircom Catalunya, valued this special edition, bilingual and with an outstanding international reach. In this context he noted the importance of our Association within the celebration of the next Global Alliance worldwide event, the World Public Relations Forum in Madrid from the 21st to the 23rd of September.
Afterwards Sebastián Cebrián, general director of Dircom, spoke and specified the parts that make up the last number of the Association’s most emblematic publication. He also referred to the app that has been created with the Yearbook’s directory, in line with the increasing use of new technologies by communication directors.
After a question and answers time between the assisting public and the speakers Dircom Catalunya offered a glass of champagne to finalize the event.
